Reps. Teri Anulewicz, Marvin Lim and Sen. Elena Parent to Hold Press Conference on Introduction of House Bill 1424 and Senate Bill 565, Georgia’s Right to Contraception Act

State Representatives Teri Anulewicz, Marvin Lim, and Senator Elena Parent are set to convene a press conference tomorrow to announce the introduction of House Bill 1424 and Senate Bill 565, known as Georgia’s Right to Contraception Act. The press conference will take place at 9:30 a.m. in room 203 of the Coverdell Legislative Office Building in Atlanta.

The lead sponsors of the bills, Reps. Lim and Anulewicz, alongside Sen. Parent, aim to ensure comprehensive access to contraception for all Georgians through this legislation. According to Rep. Anulewicz, "This legislation is crucial in providing Georgians with the necessary access to contraception."

Joining the discussion will be guest speakers Alicia Stallworth, Southeast Campaigns Director of Reproductive Freedom for All, and Dr. Mimi Zieman, a renowned Obstetrics Gynecologist based in Atlanta who co-authored the bill.

The press conference will feature Rep. Teri Anulewicz (D-Smyrna), Rep. Marvin Lim (D-Norcross), and Sen. Elena Parent (D-Atlanta) addressing the media and the public on the significance of the Georgia's Right to Contraception Act.
