The Columbus State Cougars, featuring former Berkmar High School player Ahmed Soumahoro, secured a 78-75 win over the Catawba Indians in the NCAA Division II Basketball Tournament on Saturday, March 14.

The contest, the team’s first tournament game against Catawba, was held at 12 p.m. in the Abney Athletic Center.

Columbus State’s next tournament appearance is set for Sunday, March 15 at 5 p.m., again at Abney Athletic Center.
