Ahmed Soumahoro, a former standout at Berkmar High School and now a member of the Columbus State Cougars, has qualified to participate in the NCAA Division II Basketball Tournament.
The Cougars start the tournament as the No. 6 seed and will take on the No. 3 seed, Catawba Indians.
The opening game is set for Saturday, March 14, at 12 p.m. at Abney Athletic Center.
