Florida A&M tops Jackson State 10-3 behind Smith’s performance

On Friday, March 6, at 5 p.m., the Florida A&M Lady Rattlers, featuring former Grayson High School standout Samantha Smith, secured a 10-3 victory over the Jackson State Tigers in an NCAA Division I softball contest.

The game was held at JSU Softball Field and marked the teams’ first meeting this season.

Smith pitched six innings, yielding three earned runs with four walks and two strikeouts.

The Lady Rattlers are set to play the Tigers again in their next game, scheduled for 7 p.m. at JSU Softball Field.
