Gwinnett County will host its annual Veterans Day Ceremony on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, at 11 a.m. The event, originally planned for an outdoor location, has been moved indoors to the Gwinnett Justice and Administration Center Auditorium due to cold weather. The center is located at 75 Langley Drive in Lawrenceville. Attendees are advised to enter from the front of the building rather than the parking deck entrance.
The ceremony aims to honor veterans and their families for their service. Chairwoman Nicole Love Hendrickson will lead the Stand Down event following the ceremony, which offers resources and services specifically geared toward veterans and their families.
Chairwoman Hendrickson, Commissioner Kirkland Carden, and Commissioner Jasper Watkins will deliver remarks during the event. Deputy Commissioner of the Georgia Department of Veterans Service and Retired Army Sgt. Maj. Kerry Dyer is scheduled as keynote speaker.
Enrollment in Gwinnett County schools saw minimal change with less than a 0.1% increase in the 2022-23 school year compared to the previous year, according to data from the Georgia Department of Education. During that period, total student enrollment reached 190,044 students (source). White students comprised 18% of this student body population (data).
