Gwinnett County, in collaboration with the Latin American Association (LAA), is set to celebrate the reopening of a key shelter and support center. The event marks the grand opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony for the LAA Outreach Center, previously known as the Resting Spot. This facility serves as an essential resource for families facing homelessness or housing insecurity.

The celebration will take place on Monday, May 19, at 9:30 a.m., located at the LAA Gwinnett Outreach Center on Jimmy Carter Boulevard in Norcross.

Speakers at the event include Chairwoman Nicole Love Hendrickson, CEO of the Latin American Association Santiago Marquez, Georgia House District 98 Representative Marvin Lim, Pastor Nora Colmenares from NET UMC, and Hope Through Soap’s CEO and Executive Director Megan VendeBogert.
