Gwinnett County will hold two town hall meetings to discuss opioid addiction and available resources for those affected. The Gwinnett County Opioid Abatement Advisory Committee is organizing the events and encourages residents, healthcare professionals, and community leaders to attend.
The sessions are scheduled for Tuesday, Dec. 9, and Thursday, Dec. 11, from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Both will take place at Innovation Square at 446 West Crogan Street in Lawrenceville.
According to the committee, these meetings will serve as an open forum where participants can share their experiences, challenges, and recommendations related to prevention, treatment, and recovery efforts in Gwinnett County.
“Community feedback during the town halls will play a vital role in shaping future strategies to combat opioid misuse and strengthen support and resources,” the committee stated.
Those interested in attending can register through the county’s website at GwinnettCounty.com/OpioidTownHalls.
