Gwinnett schools offer workshop on self-determination for special education families

Throughout the year, GCPS Parent Mentors conduct workshops for families of students receiving special education services in Gwinnett County Public Schools. The upcoming session is titled “Self-Determination: What is it, and how can I support my child?”

The workshop is scheduled for Thursday, May 8, and will be available at two different times. An in-person session is planned from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Those interested can register via the provided link labeled “Registration Form: Self-Determination – What is it and How can I Support my Child?” Additionally, an online session will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., with registration accessible through the “Meeting Registration – Zoom” link.

The details about each session are typically released a few weeks in advance through the News Releases section of Gwinnett County Public Schools.
