Property owners in Lawrenceville will experience a delay in receiving their 2025 property tax bills. The City of Lawrenceville announced that recent modifications to Georgia’s property tax exemption process required updates to the city’s billing system. These updates depended on an exemption file from the state, which has now been received.

City officials stated that finance and technology teams are finalizing necessary adjustments to the billing system. As a result, property tax bills are expected to be mailed in mid-November 2025, with payments due in mid-January 2026. The specific due date will be listed on each bill.

“This schedule still provides ample time for review and payment before the end of the year,” according to the announcement. The city emphasized its commitment to accurate billing, especially regarding value offset exemptions: “We recognize the importance of timely billing; however, accuracy is a key issue related to the value offset exemption. Thank you for your patience and understanding as we work to ensure accurate billing for all property owners.”
