U.S. Representative Lucy McBath, who serves Georgia’s 7th district, recently highlighted the New Democrat Coalition’s efforts to address affordability for working families through a series of posts on X (formerly Twitter).
On February 12, 2026, McBath shared a link to the coalition’s new agenda with the message: “Read the New Dem Affordability Agenda:

In another post published on the same day, she wrote: “As a member of the @NewDemCoalition, I know how many working families are struggling to make ends meet. Affordability should mean more than survival.
That’s why we just released our Affordability Agenda, a workable path forward for lowering costs for families. https://t.co/6NmRm4hZpN“.
Later that afternoon, McBath referenced an article from The Atlanta Journal-Constitution about her advocacy work and personal story: “From the @AJC: McBath recalls her son’s death while pressing Bondi on immigration shootings

Lucy McBath has represented Georgia’s 7th congressional district since 2019 after succeeding Karen Handel. She was re-elected in 2024 by defeating Jeff Criswell with nearly three-quarters of the vote. Born in Joliet, Illinois in 1960 and currently residing in Marietta, McBath holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Virginia State University. Her legislative focus often centers on issues affecting working families and public safety.
