Rep. Lucy McBath from Georgia’s 6th Congressional District recently held a telephone town hall featuring Rob Shriver, who formerly served as the Acting Director of the U.S. Office of Personnel Management. Now, Shriver works as the Managing Director of Democracy Forward’s Civil Service Strong Initiative. The event attracted approximately 14,000 participants, focusing on current congressional work and criticisms of the Trump Administration’s approach to federal workforce management in Georgia.

The interactive town hall served as a platform for participants to voice their concerns, particularly on federal workforce layoffs. McBath emphasized the significance of direct communication with constituents during these trying times. “My goal is to speak directly with as many constituents as possible in these uncertain times,” she stated. She also expressed appreciation for Shriver’s insights on protecting federal workers in Georgia.

McBath encouraged constituents needing further assistance with federal matters to contact her Atlanta District Office. This can be done by calling (470) 773-6330 or visiting McBath.House.Gov/Help.
