In the 2024-25 school year, Meadowcreek High School recorded 50 white students enrolled, marking a 2% decrease from the prior year, data from the Georgia Department of Education shows.

Overall, Meadowcreek High School had a total enrollment of 2,529 students for 2024-25. White students represented 2% of the overall student population, ranking as the second-smallest demographic in the school.

Meadowcreek High is part of the Gwinnett County School District, headquartered in Lawrenceville.

Within the district’s 140 schools, North Gwinnett High School had the highest number of white students for the 2024-25 year, with an enrollment of 1,113 white students.

The National Center for Education Statistics reported that Georgia’s public school population was about 36.4% Black, 35.9% white, 18.1% Hispanic, 4% Asian, 4.6% multiracial, 0.2% American Indian or Alaska Native, and 0.1% Pacific Islander.

Chronic absenteeism persists across Georgia schools following the pandemic, with 20.7% of students missing at least 10% of school days in 2024. The Georgia Department of Education has responded by establishing a statewide initiative featuring a real-time attendance dashboard, a public awareness campaign, and specific supports for districts with greater need to improve attendance.

In 2025, state lawmakers revised attendance statutes to prohibit expulsions strictly for absenteeism. The changes also include additional reporting guidelines and coordinate with alternatives for students to earn diplomas.

By 2026, Georgia reported an average student-to-teacher ratio of about 14:1, which was lower than the national average of 15:1.
