The Black Caucus voiced concerns on April 1, 2025, as highlighted by Rep. McBath in a post, regarding cuts to Social Security. She stressed the importance of maintaining the promise of a secure retirement for citizens. “Today, @TheBlackCaucus is sounding the alarm about attacks on Social Security and calling on the administration to stop or reverse cuts being made”.

In another post on April 1, 2025, Rep. McBath criticized recent budget reductions at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and other health services. She urged a policy reversal to safeguard public health and Medicare benefits. “The latest mass cuts at the @CDCgov and @HHSGov egregiously undermine the health of the American people and the Medicare and Medicaid benefits that millions rely on”.

On April 3, 2025, Rep. McBath reflected on her personal experience as a caregiver. Meeting with the National Domestic Workers Alliance, she underlined the crucial role of care workers and advocated for their maintenance and empowerment. “I was my mother’s caretaker during the final years of her life. I know how important our nation’s care workers are”.
