Former Grayson High School standout Carrie Green and her college team, the Southern Miss Golden Eagles, fell 3-2 to the North Florida Ospreys in an NCAA Division I softball game Friday, March 6, at 7 p.m.

The contest was held at the UNF Softball Complex and marked the season’s first meeting between the two teams.

Green notched one hit in three at-bats, scored one run and stranded two runners on base.

Southern Miss is set to play next on Saturday, March 7, at Debbie & Fred Pruitt Softball Complex against the Jacksonville Dolphins.
