The Braves' first-base coach, Eric Young Sr., shared his pride over his youngest son's starring role in the Netflix original series "Cobra Kai."
Eric Young Sr. praised his son, 15-year-old Dallas Young, as the wildly popular show's latest season hit screens in recent weeks, claiming he has become an "instant star," MLB.com reported.
"As a father, I love the fact he's doing something he genuinely loves and has a passion for," Eric Young Sr. told MLB.com. "He's not doing it just for the money. He's doing it because he loves it and he wants to be the best. I'll always remember the one goal he had. He said, 'Daddy, one day we're going to walk the red carpet together.'"
Dallas Young plays the role of Kenny Payne in the show's fourth season, MLB.com reported. Payne is a youth who moves to a new town and endures bullying at school.
This is not Dallas Young's first acting gig. Previous credits include a starring role in Nickelodeon's "Cousins for Life," as well as appearances in "9-1-1," "Shameless" and "The Fosters."
With the show largely filmed in Atlanta, Dallas Young managed to attend every postseason home and road game. He was, however, back on set filming season five of "Cobra Kai" during the Braves' victory parade on Nov. 5, MLB.com reported.
