Atlanta Braves outfielder Marcell Ozuna was recently taken into custody in Norcross with a DUI and traffic charge to his name.

According to a recent report by FOX 5 Atlanta, Ozuna addressed members of the press in the Braves Clubhouse following the incident, stating he felt he had disappointed some people.

"I disappointed my team. I disappointed my family. I don’t have anything to say more. It’s a legal matter," Ozuna told press, FOX 5 reports.

Ozuna was pulled over and questioned after an officer reportedly clocked him traveling 90 mph in his Mercedes-Benz SUV in a 35-mph zone along Beaver Ruin Road and failing to stay in one lane, FOX 5 reports. At the time he was stopped, he told officers he was on his way to a Miami lounge.

According to the police report, Ozuna admitted to officers that he had at least three or four 'Presidente' beers," but refused to take a breathalyzer test after being administered two field sobriety tests by the officer that indicated clues of impairment.

The Atlanta Braves released a statement following the arrest where team officials stated they take these matters very seriously.

"The Atlanta Braves are aware of Marcell Ozuna’s arrest this morning and are still gathering all the facts pertaining to the incident,” officials wrote in their statement. “Our organization takes these matters very seriously and are obviously disappointed by the situation. As this is a legal matter, we will have no further comment until the process is complete."
