Atlanta rapper Offset held his first Offset Toy Giveaway this holiday season, providing toys to children in need, said a recent report by FOX 5 Atlanta.
Offset spoke to the crowd during the event Dec. 23, thanking everyone for their support.
"I just wanted to give back to my community," he told the crowd, FOX 5 reported. "Thanks to all the kids for always supporting me and always listening to me and always just being there for me."
During the event Gwinnett County officials presented Offset with a key to the county, with the Lawrenceville mayor among those thanking the rapper for his continued support of the community.
Offset vowed that the toy giveaway will not be his last, and said he loves to see celebrities giving back to their neighborhoods and communities, and "doing their best to make sure that the kids get where they need to go."
This holiday season marked the first Christmas for the Atlanta-born rapper without his cousin, Takeoff, who was shot and killed in November while in Houston.
