Pre-orders for the annual plant sale fundraiser by UGA Extension Gwinnett will start on January 2. The community is encouraged to support the County’s 4-H and Master Gardener projects while selecting fruit and ornamental plants suited for Georgia soil.

The selection of plants this year includes apples, blueberries, pears, azaleas, camellias, and hydrangeas. Pre-orders can be placed until February 28. Purchases can be made at the UGA Extension Gwinnett office located at 750 South Perry St., Suite 400 in Lawrenceville or through mail-in order forms available at GwinnettExtension.com.

Last year’s sale generated nearly $5,000 for agriculture and resource programming. “Fundraising is just one of the many ways to help cover costs of activities for our young members,” said Regina Miller, Deputy Department Director of Gwinnett Community Services. “We’re grateful for the continued support of our community and look forward to another successful event.”

The pickup and bonus sale is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 5:45 p.m. on March 13 at the Davis Road entrance of the Gwinnett County Fairgrounds, located at 2405 Sugarloaf Parkway in Lawrenceville.
