Park Maintenance Supervisor
Minimum Starting Salary: $37,440.00 per year

Duties
This is skilled work responsible for maintenance of the City Park facilities and recreational grounds. Incumbent supervises full time and part time employees and oversees the daily operations of the community service worker program. Incumbent schedules all park maintenance efforts, to include facilities (park office, pavilions, senior center, etc) and grounds (athletic fields, common areas, pool, lake, etc.). Work involves performing some heavy manual labor and operating a variety of landscape and mowing equipment and tools. Some weekend and evening work required on an as needed basis for Park Special events. Position reports to the Director, Parks & Recreation.
Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent. Previous supervision experience needed. Horticulture experience and a general interest in the field desired. Knowledge of the operation tools and equipment necessary for turf maintenance work. Ability to read and understand operating instructions. Ability to organize and plan daily, weekly, and seasonal maintenance activities. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and public. Lift up to 100 lbs., bend, squat, twist, crawl and climb on a daily basis. Work outside. Possess valid Georgia Driver's license and a good motor vehicle record.
Examination
Will consist of an evaluation of prior education and work experience, an evaluation interview, and a clean post offer drug screen.
