Here's a fun throwback to a recent middle school chapel celebrating all of our incredible middle school readers!
With a theme of "taking flight," Principal TJ Dixon was dressed, ready to take on new flight recruits. Of course, he wanted the students who would go ABOVE and BEYOND, so he rewarded all students who had completed the Summer Reading Challenge because they had done just that.
Each grade level got to compete in a flight-related game, from rockets to paper airplanes, to flying planes from the balcony onto the stage. Students also received their Reading Challenge T-shirts and a few goodies.
And special congrats to 7th grader Sarah Valiani for reading more than 2,609,364 words over the summer!
