The Gwinnett County Board of Commissioners has approved a budget for 2025 amounting to $2.67 billion. This budget will fund various county operations and projects throughout the year.

The budget comprises a $2.11 billion operating budget alongside a $555 million capital improvements budget. The latter includes funds from the County’s Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax program.

This financial plan enables the Gwinnett County Government to address local needs, such as public safety, community health, and infrastructure quality. It also aims to balance the rising costs of labor, materials, and services that affect both the county and its residents.

Additionally, the budget includes organizational changes, notably establishing a Parks and Recreation Department. This department was previously part of the Department of Community Services.
