Due to severe weather conditions, all Gwinnett County offices are closed today, except for those essential to the safety and comfort of residents. This decision comes as road conditions become increasingly difficult and temperatures drop to hazardous levels.

The closures include the cancellation of trials and hearings at the Gwinnett County Courthouse located within the Gwinnett Justice and Administration Center. Additionally, the Clerk of Court’s office will not be operational; however, electronic filing through eFile GA remains available around the clock.

All offices under the Gwinnett County Tax Commissioner are also closed for the day. Public transportation services offered by Ride Gwinnett, including local, commuter, microtransit, and paratransit options, have been suspended.

Solid waste collection may face delays due to these weather conditions. Residents are advised to leave their trash and recycling out on their regular collection day. If not collected on that day, it will be serviced the following day. The county aims to complete all trash and recycling services by Saturday, January 25.

For those in need of shelter or a meal during this time, warming stations are open from 6 p.m. to 7 a.m. Information on nearby stations can be found by visiting GwinnettCounty.com/WarmingStations or calling 770-822-8850.
