Gwinnett County Government has allocated $4.95 million in grant funding to 65 local nonprofits. These funds are provided by the United States Department of the Treasury through the American Rescue Plan Act. The aim is to help these organizations enhance their effectiveness and community impact.

"Nonprofits do vital work in Gwinnett to address the unique and individual needs of our diverse community," stated Nicole Love Hendrickson, Chairwoman of the Gwinnett County Board of Commissioners. "We're proud to use ARPA dollars to support these 65 organizations, and we look forward to seeing the positive impact they will make with access to additional resources."

The county will manage and distribute the grant awards, offering capital or operational support. Capital support includes projects that fulfill a capital need such as equipment, software solutions, and vehicles. Operational support provides technical assistance and learning modules aimed at improving service delivery and goal achievement.
