All Gwinnett County offices will resume normal operations on January 23, 2025. However, there are specific exceptions to note.
The Gwinnett County Courthouse, located within the Gwinnett Justice and Administration Center, will open later than usual at 10 a.m., with all trials and hearings canceled for the day. Similarly, the Clerk of Court’s office will also delay its opening until 10 a.m. Despite this delay, electronic filing of pleadings remains accessible around the clock through eFile GA.
The Gwinnett County Tax Commissioner’s Offices will open later at 12:30 p.m. Meanwhile, renewal kiosks and online services continue to be available for use.
Senior centers in Buford, Centerville, Lawrenceville, Norcross, and the Snellville Satellite Senior Center will remain closed to the public.
Residents are advised that solid waste collection might experience delays. They should place their trash and recycling out on their scheduled day; if not serviced then, it will be collected the following day. All collections are expected to be completed by Saturday, January 25.
Warming stations are operational from 6 p.m. to 7 a.m. on both Wednesday, January 22 and Thursday, January 23. Those in need of shelter or a meal can find more information about nearby stations by visiting GwinnettCounty.com/WarmingStations or calling 770-822-8850.
