Veteran receiver Auden Tate is joining the Atlanta Falcons as the team's latest addition to their revamped receiver corps, according to a recent report from the team.
Tate joins the Falcons from Cincinnati, where he was drafted by the Bengals in the seventh round of the 2018 NFL Draft, AtlantaFalcons.com reports.
"We have signed WR Auden Tate to a one-year contract," the team posted on Twitter, sharing a link to the news, highlighting his signing.
With Cincinnati, the 25-year-old receiver totaled 799 receiving yards on 61 receptions, averaging 13.1 yards a catch with two touchdowns. During his four-year stint on the team, the Atlanta Falcons report Tate played in a total of 35 games with 12 starts, though most of those came in the 2019 season.
According to the report, this comes as the Falcons signed wideout KhaDarel Hodge to a one-year contract early last month, making Tate the second wide receiver free agent signing to the team in just a five-day span.
