Greater Atlanta Christian School issued the following announcement on March 10.

For the third year in a row, the Varsity Girls Basketball team (25-6) is heading back to Macon for the AAA state championship game.

The Spartans traveled down to Georgie College State University and defeated Pierce County (24-6) in the AAA Final Four 66-46 to advance to the state title game. Senior guard Kaleigh Addie led the way with 21 points for Spartans, while junior Trinity Thomas added 19 points and 11 rebounds. Senior Jaci Bolden helped pace the way with 18 points as well.

Seniors Kaleigh Addie and Jaci Bolden lead the way for the Spartans. Addie has scored over 2000 points in her career at GAC, while Bolden crossed the 1000 point threshold this season.

Under the guidance of head coach Jessica Guarneri, the Spartans have been dominant in their classification. In her first year at the helm during the 2019-2020 season, Coach Guarneri led GAC to a state championship victory 54-44 over Beach High School. The following 2020-2021 season resulted in the Spartans returning to Macon, but they fell to Cross Creek High School 55-44.

On Friday March 11th, the Spartans will face Lumpkin County (29-1) in the Class AAA championship game, at 1 p.m. at the Macon Centreplex.

Tickets can be purchased ahead of time on GoFan for $15.

All GHSA state championship games will be video broadcast on the NFHS Network.
