Rudy Giuliani, attorney to former President Donald Trump, has been called among those subpoenaed by a Fulton County grand jury in its ongoing investigation into whether he and others interfered with the results of the 2020 election in Georgia.
This comes following an announcement in November 2020, when Giuliani said he planned to file a lawsuit aimed to expose a “nationwide election fraud conspiracy,” according to a recent report by FOX 5 Atlanta.
"In the city of Atlanta, Republicans were not allowed to watch the absentee mail-in ballot process," Giuliani said. "Inspections completely cast aside. We have numerous double voters. We have numerous out-of-state voters. And we have specific evidence of intimidation and changes of votes."
Along with Giuliani, several other members of Trump's one-time legal team were summoned, including Jenna Ellis, John Eastman and Cleta Mitchell, the report states. The grand jury has already heard from several state officials, including Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger and Attorney General Chris Carr.
According to the report, Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp is also slated to provide testimony for the grand jury, with a recorded statement July 25.
The subpoenas call on the witnesses to begin testimony on July 12, FOX 5 reports.
