School Board Meeting Summary

On July 5, the Gwinnett County Board of Education held the first of three public hearings on the millage rate adoption, and conducted a special called meeting regarding the FY2023 budget. 

The Gwinnett County BOE has proposed a decrease in the millage rate, with a rate of 19.20 mils for maintenance and operations (M&O) and 1.45 mils for debt service millage. During the special called meeting, the Gwinnett County BOE voted to amend its Fiscal Year 2023 budget to increase employee salaries.

The remaining public hearings on the millage will occur on July 13, at 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. in the Board Room at the Instructional Support Center, located at 437 Old Peachtree Road NW in Suwanee.
